Our company philosophy begins with our name. The early settlers during the westward expansion referred to the territory surrounding the upper Mississippi River Valley as "Big Wood" country, mostly due to it’s vast tracts of tall straight timber. We liked the name and adopted it as our own; hence Big Wood Timber Frames Inc. Timber framing combines straight and durable old growth timbers with modern energy-efficient structural panels (SIPs), creating a timeless beauty. Our goal is to construct a product, which will survive the test of time both structurally and esthetically for our clients. |
